Privacy policy
Effective date: 16 October 2026
Logosphere is a dictionary and vocabulary app run by Rafael Garcia (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it. If you have any question about it, write to contact@logosphere.ai.
01What we collect
Account information
- Your email address, used to sign in and to contact you about your account.
- Your password, if you sign up with email. It is stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read it.
- If you sign in with Apple or Google, the email address and name that provider shares with us. If you choose Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive only the relay address Apple creates for you.
- The date you accepted the terms of use, and which version you accepted.
Profile
- Your display name.
- A profile photo, if you choose to add one. The app asks for access to your photo library only when you pick a photo, and uploads only the photo you pick.
Learning data
- The words you look up and save, when you first and last looked each one up, and how many times.
- Your review history for each word: how well you remembered it and when it is next due.
- Figures we calculate from these, such as how much your vocabulary overlaps with other people’s and your place in the retention league.
What you write and do in the app
- The example sentences and notes you write, including notes you write for another person.
- Who you follow and who follows you.
- Who you have blocked.
- Reports you make about another person or a note, including the reason and any details you add.
Technical information
- The app keeps you signed in by storing a sign-in token on your device.
- Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs of requests to our servers, which include IP addresses. We use them only to keep the service running and secure.
We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone or advertising identifier. The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
02How we use it
- To provide the app: sign you in, look words up, save your vocabulary and schedule your reviews.
- To provide the social features: show your profile, saved words and sentences to other people as described in section 3, suggest people with a similar vocabulary, and rank the retention league.
- To keep the app safe: check notes and names against a list of blocked terms, review reports, and remove content and accounts that break the terms of use.
- To limit abuse, such as too many lookups or notes in a short time.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
03What other people see
Logosphere is a social app. Other signed-in users can see:
- your display name and profile photo;
- the words you have saved, and how your vocabulary compares with theirs;
- your place in the retention league;
- who you follow and who follows you;
- your example sentences, if they follow you;
- a note you write for someone, which that person sees.
Your email address, password, review history, blocks and reports are never shown to other users. Someone you block cannot see your profile, words or notes, and is not told that you blocked them.
Profile photos are stored at a web address that is not listed anywhere but does not require signing in, so anyone who has that address can view the photo.
05How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account.
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. Deleting it permanently removes your account, profile, profile photo, saved words, review history, sentences and notes, follows and blocks. It cannot be undone.
Some records are kept after an account is deleted, for safety reasons:
- A report you filed is kept so it can still be acted on, but it is no longer linked to you.
- A report about you is removed when your account is deleted, but a Telegram message already sent about it stays in the operator’s chat.
- Server logs are deleted automatically by our hosting provider after a short period.
Words looked up are cached on our server, without any link to who looked them up, and the cache is cleared automatically.
06Your rights
You can see and change your display name and photo in the app, and delete your account and all of its data from the Profile tab. You can also write to contact@logosphere.ai to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to object to how we use it, or to have it deleted. We will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
07Children
Logosphere is not meant for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, write to contact@logosphere.ai.
08Security
Information is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted connections. Access to each person’s data is restricted at the database level so that people can read only what this policy says they can. No service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
09Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
